Hilltop Treks - Cliffs of Moher

Hilltoptreks Ltd

The Cliffs of Moher tour takes you from Dublin to the magnificent wild Atlantic. You have the opportunity to walk along this iconic landmark with sweeping views along the coast out to the Aran Islands. Following a refreshing walk, we will make our way to the Burren, a limestone/karst region in the west of Ireland. These are the main attractions but there are many more highlights to this tour. This will be a tour you will never forget!

Highlights: Limerick | The Burren | The Cliffs Of Moher | Corcomroe Abbey | Galway Bay | Kinvara Harbour Village

The Itinerary of the day:
We depart from outside the old stone church on Suffolk Street (map is on the booking page). Your guide will introduce himself to you and all the other intrepid travellers. We recommend you arrive at the departure point at least 10 minutes early.
Arrive in the city of Limerick where we will take a short break to view King John's Castle across the river Shannon, then travel through the streets of this historic city on our way to Co Clare. You will stop at the treaty stone where you will learn the real history of this great city and the battles fought between the Irish and the English.

We arrive at the Cliffs of Moher where we have the chance to explore this beautiful landmark "the Cliffs Of Moher" and take in the amazing vistas and views from this vantage point. You have an hour and a half to take in all the cliffs have to offer. Included in the price is entrance to the Cliffs and an interactive presentation showing in the visitors centre. Take your time and enjoy the landscape as this is the highlight of your tour. These magnificent formations will leave an impression on your mind and will no doubt be one of the highlights of your visit to Ireland.

It's time for lunch, so we head to Doolin a beautiful village famed for its traditional music. We usually go to Fitzpatricks pub where the seafood is particularly good, the seafood chowder is my personal favourite.
Once lunch is finished, we will go for a short trek around the Burren, a Karst/Limestone area with a unique ecosystem producing beautiful wild Orchids. After a drive through one of Ireland's national parks, you will visit Corcomroe Abbey, a 12th century abbey in a beautiful setting.

We are now unfortunately on the last leg of the journey with one last stop for a photo opportunity at Dunguaire castle. There is a beautiful view over Galway Bay at this point. Then we'll get back on the bus and journey back to Dublin. We hope to get back no later than 7pm.
