Guided Tour of Crag Cave
Crag Cave is formed from limestone. It is a colourful wonderland of Stalagmites and Stalactites. Discovered by cave divers in 1983, it is thought to be over 1 million years old.
A visit to Crag Cave will delight and enthral all ages and our friendly guides will be pleased to explain the origins of the Cave, describe its many beautiful formations and introduce visitors to a world older than mankind.
The Cave Centre offers a Restaurant with a select menu of light lunches, home-made baking and special signature dishes. Fresh local produce is prepared in our kitchens daily and available throughout the day. Visitors can also browse our extensive and renowned Gift shop where you can choose from a vast array of products on display including clothes, jewellery, art work, books, children’s toys and seasonal products.
The Cave temperature is 10 degrees C therefore a light jacket or sweater is advisable.
Opening Hours: 10am to 6pm. Extended opening to 6.30pm during July and August.
Tours: Every day through out the year at 10:45am / 12:00pm / 14:30pm / 16:00pm and 17:30pm (January to May and October to December)
June to September the tours leave every half hour.
