Description: Donegal Highlander Tour: Donegal Town - Killybegs Harbour - Slieve League Cliffs - Ardara
Donegal Town is an historic town, home of the O'Donnell Clan and Donegal Castle, and is situated just on the edge of Donegal Bay. The centre of town, known locally as 'The Diamond', is surrounded by bustling cafes, shops and bars.
Killybegs Harbour has long been acknowledged as Ireland's leading fishing port, and a stroll along the pier gives a chance to admire the fishing boats, net menders, and perhaps even a glimpse of the seals.
Slieve League Sea Cliffs are said to be the highest and one of the finest marine cliffs in the whole of Europe, and with a six hundred metre drop down into the wild Atlantic waves below they create a breathtaking, spectacular view.
Ardara is a designated Heritage Town, home of the 'Donegal Tweed', and one of Ireland's best known tradiational centres of tweed and knitwear production.
